X4 Spare tire?
If you order the spare tire option on the X4, does it have the same 3" stepped floor like the X3. Searched but couldn't find anything.

I have the 2020 x4 with the spare tire (i think it came standard ordering the 20" NRFT). The bed comes to ~1/4" under the rear threshold. Hope this helps.

Fitted with the spare, the floor is raised a bit and you do lose some capacity as well as the rails. However the floor remains at, or maybe slightly below, the load lift. A worthwhile trade-off imo. Here's a pic of mine . . .

I think the floor is raised about 2 inches/5 cm from where it is without the spare. Google "2020 X4 trunk" and you'll see pics that you can judge. Look at the pics with the rails - those don't have a spare.
EDIT: A while back, I did an airport run with three women . I had to remove the boot cover, but all their luggage and carry-ons fit, piled high! It would have been an easy fit in an X3, but I got it to work in the X4.

Good to know that they did a better job engineering the X4 than the X3. The X3 has about a 3" step which looks like an absolute afterthought. From what I've seen from pictures on here, there was no need for anywhere near that large a step. The lowly X1 is done right. If you order the spare, they just use an existing cargo compartment under the floor and just add restraints. I thought the X3 was the same until I looked under the floor.
