Another new guy
New guy here checking in from northern Indiana.
Bought my wife a 2011 X3 28i 68K miles and runs/drives/looks like new. only thing needed is glove box door cover is coming off. (Common problem) First timer BMW owner so any tips/advise is appreciated. I'm very mechanically Inclined (former SAAB owner) so I can do most of the work myself. Thanks for this great site and everyone's help/knowledge to us newer guys.... |

Welcome to the forum and to BMWs. The X3 is a great vehicle and the N52 that powers the 28i has proven to be very reliable. Search and you'll find answers to any questions you might have. One habit I've gotten into is checking the 3 series forum (E90 model years) when I have any engine related questions. There are just so many more 3 series on the roads that they've had much more time to figure things out.

I am a former Saab owner (2000 9-3 convertible). I really loved that car; I had it for four years. Anyway, I don't having much mechanical work to do but I think I traded it in at about 57,000 miles. I remember replacing the clutch and some soft convertible top work. I would probably get another Saab if that were possible. I did none of that work myself.
