Adaptive Headlight Malfunction

one year of use of 2015 BMW X3, not many issues and this dreaded indicator pops up on my dashboard_ adaptive headlights malfunction

Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did you fix it?
Is the maintenance covered by the BMW?

thank you

Yes it should definitely be covered by warranty. Take it to the dealership you bought it from and they will sort it out.

Garage List
My previous 120d M Sport and 125 d M Sport would throw that warning up occasionally when the weather was freezing and once the car had warmed up the message would go away.

Experienced the joys of adaptive xenons on long fast A roads. They really are the stags antlers!!!!

Indeed. Actually just had it fixed, X3MAN. As my wife always gets to drive the new X3, she has the 2015 X3 and indicated this error showed up. Have your car running with the lights on (in Park ) and look at the front lights to see if you can identify an error. For her 2015 X3 35i, it was the Rt corona was out, but the low beams and high beams were fine so she was OK to drive. When our schedules allowed I took it to the Service Center - turns out it was just a software error. A reboot of the system, and an overall software update, and she is as good as new.

I remember the days when cars didn't have computers...
