TPMS questions

If I put new rims on my x3, can I reuse the same tire pressure monitors and just put them on the new rims? Or do you have to buy new ones?

Unless there is something odd about the design of the new rims that won't accept them they should work fine. They are just held on by a nut on the outside. Use new rubber seals.

You can reuse them or get new ones. Depending on how old they are might be worth it to just get new ones depending on your plans.

An extract from my 2015 X3 manual.

"The system detects tire inflation pressure loss on the basis of rotation speed differences be‐ tween the individual wheels while driving."
