Hey all! Super new to this forum. (Like 10 min as a registered user new). I have been searching around and I cannot find what engine is in the 2019 X3 Sdrive30i (aka..my car). Planning on installing a JB+ as soon as I get this info! . Anyone else done this already?

Installed iND painted rear reflector replacements. Hope to the more involved fronts tomorrow. Installed gloss black front faux fender vents. All this was very easy on a hot day. All OEM parts saved for possible reuse.

I did the IND painted reflectors in the front. Looks so much better. Getting access to the reflector wasn't as difficult as I thought from watching their video.

What type of tool did you use to remove those 4 plastic pop rivets? TIA

I bought one of these at an auto parts store. Amazon also has them.

https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-35260-P.../dp/B0002SRCMO

To put new rivets back in, I bought one of these at Harbor Freight. My pop rivet gun for metal rivets would not accommodate the thickness of the plastic rivets BMW uses. None of the rivets that came with it appeared to be the same size as the OEM ones but maybe one of them would work. I had already bought rivets through getbmwparts.com With this tool there is no nozzle to change like a traditional pop rivet gun.

https://www.harborfreight.com/hand-r...ets-97757.html

I also used a hair dryer and plastic pry tool for dash panels/trim to help get the reflectors out.

Can IND-Dist chime in with what tools they used in their how-to video for replacing their front reflectors?

How do you remove the side vents?
I did a mix of gloss and color matched via IND-Dist. I used their plastic pry-tool you can get with their paint-matched reflectors and pushed in the circled locations. There is a small 'wedge' that clips behind the metal trim you can easily pop out.

Iphone X - finaly all recent calls

Hi all! New to this forum. And sorry for my bad English. Today I finaly updated idrive for iPhone X / 8 on my 2018 X3 M40i, so I have now recent calls synchronized with my phone. Maybe someone will find this helpfull, because the standard bmw/update site does not recognize car VIN yet. But I find the UPD09032 bin file from another car and it works. Maybe this is already known ... (if needed I can post the file) Bye.

I normally wouldn't add an M on a car that isn't a true M but I have mine so hopped up that it will stay with most M cars.

I debadged the X3 on back so it just says M40i.

It's running 12.48 quarter mile @107 MPH with 0-60 at 4.15.
What the heck have you done to it to get the 0-60 to 4.1?

Dashcam being fitted today. Which will stop me worrying so much when I park the car anywhere, as it switches on when there’s movement!

There are 4 or 5 of use running 3.9-4.1 0-60's and low 12 second 1/4 miles. We all are using JB4 and BMS intakes.

You can see the JB4 and bluetooth connector under the driver's side cowl, the cover is removed for the picture, you can't see it when the cowl cover is on.
