Adding apple carplay - worth it?
Looking at buying used X3, none of which have apple car play already.
According to dealer you have to pay and download this through connected drive. Will it then give the same functionality as CP that's factory installed (like in my 2019 X2)? And will it be free for life after the initial download payment? I only used CP on the X2 for sending text messages while driving. Is there any way to 'dictate' those messages without using CP? Or getting a message read out (either a text message or Whatsapp)? cheers

Without carplay, is there any way to listen to text messages, or dictate them, while on the move?
