How much more out of a custom tune?

Seems like we are seeing about 460whp for a non Comp X3M stock. (490whp for Comp)
550whp seems to be what the standard Bootmod3 Stage 1 93 octane map delivers.

With a custom tune how much more are we seeing? (Staying on stage 1 93 octane)

Good question - seems like "if" 550 rwhp is your goal and your starting w/ a comp - then a piggy back should get that w/o shipping/unlock - etc.

I hear pretty commonly a custom tune is roughly 600? Give or take things like e85 and if its Pauls tune, they regularly hit 590ish stage 1 and stage 2 being like 630? Jb4 promises about the same.. so expect 600ish? I recommend a jb4 for 2 years and then femto unlock

Agree'd with above thoughts.... 550-600whp is a lot for a basic JB4 or stage 1 tune, amazing platform.

Something else to think about with regard to the custom route is, each car is a little bit different, some were built on Mondays/Fridays LOL. So an OTS tune will have some margin of error that the DME adjusts to fit your car.

By doing custom, the corrections on various processes should be less than the OTS maps and be a bit more 'tailored' to your vehicle. Sure, this can come with more power, but IMHO it also comes with a bit more peace of mind.

600 at the wheels? If so that's a pretty good gain over 550whp sticking with 93 octane and no cat delete.

it depends on your tuner, your mods / fuel and how much you want to push the limits.

I recommend you first pick a tuner that you are comfortable with and discuss your tuning goals.

we offer custom maps by Jordan tuning

I was looking for information for 93 octane tune with zero mods. (Certainly not willing to push beyond any safe limit like most folks)
Just wondering if it's worth the cost. 30 more whp isn't worth the cost to me, 50whp or more has my interest.

If you guys do custom tunes you must have some idea of where you are whp wise with Jordan tuning?

you would need to check with Jordan tuning directly but if you are doing a stage 1 tune, fully custom tune is not worth it in my opinion.

get bootdmod3 off-the-shelf map for now, and if you want more power, you can get the OTS+ maps we offer. These are maps by jordan tuning which make more power than your standard OTS map but do not require a custom tune or datlaogging.

So impressive!!! My virtual dyno backs this up with my MHD E30 map, somewhere between 610-630whp... (i would post it but for the life of me can't figure it out)

I had a custom tune done with bootmod3, and it was a night and day difference for me. It factors in your car, air levels, fuel quality, and more vs a general off the shelf. It's like a off the rack suit vs a bespoke custom made suit made for your body. It's not so much gains, there are a lot though, but to me, it is how my car felt after. Like the tune and it were synced. I recommend it.

F80 Paul. It will take some time because it is street tuning vs doing it on a dyno. He send you the first file that you flash and that is the baseline. Then you do a pull while logging it in bootmod3 and send him the log. He makes adjustments and send another file. And you keep doing that until there are no more improvements to be made. You can also customize burbles intensity and length.
