BMW needs to get rid of the "crystal" and all the fractals, no one in the history of ever that buys these cars, likes fractals. Just make it streamline and lightweight sports looking. Stop making it look like a flamboyant designer car.

Why doesn't BMW steal an idea from Mercedes and put out it's own "S Class"? They want a step higher than the 7/8 Series? Bingo.
The M Division should have issued something along the lines of the AMG GT, in Coupe and Sedan form. |

A better-written article about the powertrain and other aspects.
Still....looks like a Tesla Cybertruck crashed into a Delorean and a bucket of spare parts from an old wheel-barrow. https://www.caranddriver.com/bmw/xm

That double headlight setup looks like shit. You see the bottom headlights along with the front grille and fascia and almost see a separate car by itself. Then, it's almost like the front end glitched and shat another set of half assed lights above it. Ask me how I really feel.

These are indeed dark times for the BMW design language. This is when the brand ditched its glorious past for an unknown future.

I’d get this to replace my X3M. How does the same company make atrocities like the XM and also this M car? |

Just glad I bought when I did... these new designs are horrible.

The thing is the 3 series and 2 series are pretty nice and BMW like. I liked it better in the 2000s when the 3,5,7 looked similar but they were really good designs. Some of these new designs are just horrendous. I haven’t been in a 3 series for awhile but the last loaner I had was an F chassis and that thing wallowed on road undulations. Thats when I knew BMW lost its way and it’s still suffering from an identity crisis trying to beat Benz and Audi at luxury and tech when it should concentrate on driving engagement.
