Just bought it tonight. Excited to see how it transforms this already crazy beast. I saw BrockM's build and read up on the options available for this platform and felt Paul would be the best bet.

Will post my journey in this thread and hopefully a Dyno sometime soon as well.

Nice...I keep debating on which direction to go. I'm already on BM3 in my b58, but don't want to mess with E due to scarcity and shit quality in my immediate area.

Not sure I would benefit much going custom on 93 vs. OTS.

Yea im in NJ and there are literally just two gas stations (far away from me also) that have e85.

So my tune will just be for 93 pump gas

Interesting they're calling your custom map a stage 2... I would assume you'd need downpipes to get a stage 2 tune regardless of pump or E-85. I'm sure it's calibrated to compensate accordingly, but just interesting it's labeled that way.

Well that is what I put as the name of this map. You can name it anything really. but yes I have all stock hardware at the moment but will go catless + AA midpipe next spring. However the difference between catless and stock cats is minimal on this platform. Maybe 20whp on pump gas.

Yeah, definitely not worth it in my opinion. These cars make crazy power on simple tunes!

So, was able to flash the base map to the car. But having issues data logging..not an issue with the tuner but more so on my obd connecting hardware I think.

When I go to the dashboard on the BM3 app all the values are zero even when the car is on and it shows connected. I think my cable is bad as I even tried with a laptop and it doesn't even recognize the cable is plugged in. I'm surprised I was even able to flash!

Tried with my Google Pixel 5 and a Samsung S21+..same issue

Ordered a new cable from a different vendor. A new Ethernet to USB c converter and a new Dell laptop ��

Also ordered a raspberrypi 3 so I can make a DIY Bootmod3 wifi agent.


Back to the tune, drove around with the basemap loaded and it feels great! Very peppy.

I think I have one map credit with my license. When I go Dyno I'll flash the BM3 OTS map and run one with that.

So I found out, luckily, what the issue was with the dashboard not showing any of the values to data log. Apparently I selected a channel that was not supported - that caused the whole thing to choke up.

Now I have all this random shit i ordered that I dont need LOL. I'll keep em as spares i guess.

Resolved it by going to the BM3 App, going into About and resetting all settings. Then going back into dashboard while connected to the car and it was able to log.......finally.

jairomvp182 Has some baseline Dynojet Stock 470whp, BM3 OTS STG1 93 530whp, E30 OTS 570whp, PJT E60 685whp, and now he's working on a Full E85 Tune which should be over 700whp on a bone stock hardware 2022 X3M Msg him for any questions

Yea I'm on the far west side of Morris county. those are all way beyond reasonable distance for fuel most of the time. The closest one is East orange at approx 45 mins east of me lol so...99% of the time I would be only seeing 93 octane.

Hopefully one day soon they will put e85 in more areas.


Having said that, Paul advised 600-615whp for 93 octane tune.
