Look great. Did they reduce the 4 Years Free Maintenance to 3 Years? I got a quote from a dealer, I question the 3 Years and he said from 2022 on its down to 3 Years.

Yes, BMW Canada reduced the No Charge Maintenance to 3 years now, to be in-line with BMW North America (US) unfortunately.

However here's one of the Laserlight Headlight that I was able to spec on it! I definitely see it activate above 90km/h (56mph) and does extend the high beams quite a bit more.

Just got photos the other day. At first, I nearly had a stroke when I saw that pylon. They did that by hand so it was protected from the door (so they said) but at first it appeared like they drove into it. They even sent a photo showing no scratches lol! Paint correction takes place before Xpel but I don't want my guy to have unnecessary work lol! When I showed my detailer who is doing the Xpel and ceramic, he was like "WTFFFF?! Why would they send you a photo like that?"

I texted my service guy and called the advisor immediately! Still bothers me because I don't think you would place that pylon so it's bent against the fender. Just glad there are no scratches and that if anything minimal even did happen, it would be corrected anyway. But really, wtf were they thinking?

2022 Dark Graphite Metallic X3MC

I love how the smoked tail lights blend into the body color. Can't wait to drive it next week after correction, Xpel, and ceramic, but I'll so be looking over that vehicle after seeing that photo just to ensure my OCD heals.

I had looked into the retrofit a bit more. However I had come to the point where it's definitely possible to retrofit the OEM Wireless Charging + NFC pad no problem, the issue will end up being able to pair the NFC Digital key card.

Assuming it requires a connection to ConnectedDrive to pair the NFC key card initially, just like being able to pair it for Apple Car Key with an iPhone, it may be impossible to retrofit it given their servers know the car is missing the digital key unless we're able to get someone on the server end to show that the digital key hardware was retrofitted.

I'll report back my findings when it's come time to retrofit the charging pad.

I was looking into this too, apparently the cars are allocated a digital key its just deactivated because the hardware is missing, but the manufacture process is the exact same. It should be possible to retrofit the hardware and just click activate on their side for it to work. If I can get ahold of one of their hardware engineers I can probably help push this along.

I did find out the wireless charger once plugged in, if you get one of ebay or wherever will work right off the bat as its just a 4+2 pin connector that the car still has ready the literally just built without the part but kept the harness assembly in the build.

just lmk whos dick i gotta suck to get the ball rollin.. im a 40min drive to woodcliff lake. unless i gotta go to germany than we need a euro member to take one for the team.

that being said i was digging around bimmercode and saw a whole slew of NFC stuff that was simply set to not_aktiv. no idea what that could mean since im dead clueless with anything that has to do with coding.

BMW literally left everything as is from the 21 model and just didnt put in the parts, so technically any other spec the rest of the world gets you can put in this bad boy. Once I get min (2 weeks) I'll butcher my shit to solve these issues.

Yeah, but do keep in mind the rest of the world (including Germany) were equipped with 32Z - Deletion of Digital Key for the F97/98 and select models.

However you did bring up a good point for the activation portion that it is just from their server side where they just need to dictate that the vehicle no longer has 32Z, which means it should qualify to be both issued a digital NFC key card and the in app Digital Key setup, assuming all the hardware had been put in.
