Almost done
After a couple of weeks sitting in "production begins" today the status finally changed to entering the assembly line! So looks like the painting was done and the car is now being put together. When I called the BMW status number they are now saying the car is scheduled to be done on 8/19 instead of 8/20, so we will see. PCD is not until 9/16 so looks like the car is going to sit for a few weeks...

Interesting, that does look good. Not sure if it would be too large of a black area in person…

I'm still waiting for my X4 Mc to arrive on the west coast by rail. But based on what has arrived here so far from Spartanburg, I anticipate it to be here within the next week or two!

Definitely does show it in a different light though. |

You'll be very underwhelmed when you hear the exhaust on X3M/X3MC. Just feels like they could do so much more. When I picked up my m40i, they moved an X3MC and i was surprised, then again the G80 in general is quiet imo

Why would it be any different than a 20/21? The exhaust sound will be very muted outside of WOT.

This wicked beast is complete , took two weeks (8/5 to 8/19) to manufacture, this was supposed to be a week 35 build, so all you week 35 builds should be getting done soon also, I would assume.

Tires and Front Plate Mount
For those who's taken delivery so far.
Did most of you get the Continentals? I did notice on the X4Mc that Sudbury has, those came with the Michelin PS4S. Also, does anyone have the front plate mount sitting around or mounted? I'm curious how high the plate would sit with the OEM mount for the LCI, since i did notice the non M X3/X4, their mounts sit pretty high and start covering the grill & front plate is required here in BC and thinking if a tow hitch mount would be better |

Front plate is also required here in VA, I had this particular one on my M3 and it worked very well, I will buy it for my X3M also, unfortunately because of the sensors they are making you put the mount in kind of a weird place but I am not planning on putting the front plate on all the time anyway... https://stonsho.com

Plates are required but I purposely don’t have them mounted. been six years so far and not one ticket. I’ll take my chances.

Indeed, after expressing some concern yesterday that the car was in "entered production queue" status for 3 weeks, the car has teleported to "quality check" overnight. Go figure. Guess there's not quite as much transparency in the status tracking as it may be intending to capture, but in any case, good news. I might be able to decode the VIN soon.

You can decode it at www.mdecoder.com
Alternatively, you'll be able to see the manual pertaining to the options selected when you do the BMW Driver's Guide with your VIN. |

I was only going by comparisons with the same exact numerical ratings. If mine comes with Contis, maybe I'll go to PS4 when I put the Vossens on it next spring.
