Missing Screen Mirroring?

I seem to be missing the screen mirroring option, can anyone confirm this is not available on a 2022 X3 M?

It is. Just not for iPhones.

Its really only for samsungs because they are the only ones that put the protocol needed in their OS. Very annoying..its called MiraCast.

Is it samsung? That is the only brand it works on, doesnt work on pixels and others. You connect via wifi and swipe down for your menu and just hit share or screencast.

I've heard that screen mirroring was unfortunately removed as an option towards the end of the model year 2022 BMW's. I received my x7 July 2022 and it did not have screen mirroring as an option.

My 2023 does not have screen mirroring for Android or Iphone. Using some old instructions, I turned on Miracast using Bimmercode. There were other flags to turn on in the instructions that were not present in my module. The screen mirroring option then appeared on the menu. Unfortunately, my S20 FE would timeout and wouldn't connect.

I gave up, I think even if I got it working, it would be underwhelming. I only wanted to watch streamed hockey games on the screen in the parking lot after dropping my daughter off at practice.

Hi erorodic, No I did not solve this issue. I gave up :-)

I have been looking at this multimedia adapter but it seems to be pre-order and not many available. I may purchase it one day. Regular wireless Carplay or AA multimedia adapters do not work as BMW uses wireless connection only for data, USB is only for charging.
