Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I was just casually waiting to pick up my kid and sat in the car for a bit (20minutes) and when I get out, I am not able to lock it now. : To be clear: I've have tried to get back in, start engine then turn it off again. Nothing seems to work…

Funny you say that. When I was in Germany my wife and I came across a young couple in a BMW 3 series with a brand new baby stopped in a rest area. They had stopped because the baby needed to be fed and now their car would not start. He got in to show me and I looked around and whispered to him, as not to embarrass him in front of his wife, You have the car in drive, put it in park and I bet it will start. Sure enough they were shortly on their way.

Found the reason!
Drivers side door was slightly opened. Lol, I've been so use to the soft close on the x5.
