Thankfully, you have on/off buttons. My old SAAB came on whenever you turned the fogs on.

So, has the towel officially been thrown in on getting rear fogs working on an X3 LCI?

I could use your code. I shipped my US G01 to Spain and I’m dying to get the rear fog lights enabled. I purchased and installed the euro light switch to the front. I press the rear fog light button but nothing comes on. I have BimmerCode but I don’t know the code to activate it. HELP!

The good news is, I figured out the coding changes needed, which should work regardless of software version and without having to actually change the entire FA to ECE. The below changes are what worked for me and retained all normal functions for braking, reverse, and turn signal lights.

All changes are in the BDC_Body2 Module, in the 5FA9 Cafd file
NSL_Verbaut: Change this to "Verbaut"
LCE_BEL_LIN_VAR: Change to match your existing switch, plus "NSL". For example, mine was "28_BEL_PL_FLC_NSW", so I changed it to "34_BEL_PL_FLC_NSW_NSL". This keeps the incorrect light switch variant error from showing up in ISTA.
LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_OUTPUT_CHANNEL_DATA: Change this to "UNK_PARAM_2"
LIC_LOG_LAMP_2_OUTPUT_CHANNEL_INDEX: Change this to "UNK_PARAM_2"
LIC_NIVEAU_OVERRIDE_DATA_0: Change this to "G01_ECE_code2"
LIC_NIVEAU_OVERRIDE_INDEX: Change this to "G01_ECE_code2"
LIC_VERSION_DATA: Change this to "UNK_PARAM_11"

The bad news: It does require the switch with the actual rear fog button. After verifying it was working with the Euro switch, I attempted to use just the circuit board with the rubber contact from the US switch. The front fog lights continued to work normally, however the rear fog lights would not work. Switched back to the Euro switch, and the rear fogs worked fine. I believe as mentioned above there may be a difference in the circuit boards.

Can this be done with BimmerCode? I have the same problem. I brought a US G01 to Spain and I need the fog lights to be activated and the amber side markers to be disabled. Then it can pass the inspection. Can you help please?
