Which video that doesn't make things look easy,

Also, BMW Tech, I can't say much about them. It is hit and miss kind a guy, lol.

But, regardless, this thing is still easy than installing one on most Mercedes Benz.
After Thanksgiving, I will try to re-do mine and figure out the easiest way to do this.
Also, onfireX5 will install his soon. Hopefully he will have some pointers too.

Apparently chips do not work well with OPF equipped cars. Any thoughts on that?

I appreciate you have a vested interest here, but to say this is typical level chip install and removal is just not true.

If it requires mucking with structural or suspension components, AND it requires you to put your car up on a lift, then it is not a typical DIY. That's just a fact.

And if it cannot be completely removed (physically, not electronically) without hours of labor, then anyone concerned about warranty and dealer service is not going to touch it. And warranty from a company that you don't know well, located halfway across the world, with unclear reserves? Little comfort.

Again - an amazing product and really impressive gains. But the majority of demand, i suspect, will wait until after warranty...

That not too sure.
But based on the European reviewers, they all said that OPF reduces the engine output.

Everyone have different level of DIY capabilities.
If you are not capable of doing it, then you are not.

Some do look at Coilover install as DIY. That is where you will need to remove and re-torque the suspension components.

There are other products out there that may fit your criteria, I am not forcing anyone to buy and pick this particular brand that I happen to carry and offer.

I also carry and offer Dinan for 5 years.
But my sales number is roughly 100 to 1.
Known company with known product.

I am here as a car enthusiast too. Not just a shop who sells part and don't even test or use the products.
And I happened to have insider news since I am in the industry for almost 30 years.

As you mention that I have vested time in here.
I am in this sub forum, because I fell in love with X3M and bought the car. So I am going to mod it the way I like it and post a review and feedback on the products that I am using and give you guys a hook up. I am not here to just profit you guys.
But of course, if I make profit, it will also be good to the community which mean I can keep on doing what I have been doing in building a car and reviewing products and hooking you guys up.

Mine did it in 2 hours perfectly. And a former NASCAR mechanic and current BMW Master tech he is top notch. He has done all my mods on previous cars and service so I can attest to him. Others I have no comment.

For sure, without deleting OPF - they are useless, especially on high rev

IMO, yes.
But not to worry.
This car in stock form is fast enough already.

What a fun day at the Strip today! Got 11 runs in... Once I get a chance to arrange the data I'll post a brief summary thread, then more in-depth in the 1/4 mile thread.

Amazing folks at an event like today (Test-N-Tune), felt like a huge family reunion. People you don't even know and from varied backgrounds all having a great time and helping each other out.

I'm hooked.

In the talk to a few companies.

We'll see who will come up with it first.

I hope ACS USA didn't ruin the pricing.
Since they changed distributionship, the retail price has been more than doubled.
