Of course always engine off.
Put the car to diagnostic mode. Three quick press start button without foot in brake.

When coding G-series, it requires either engine on or put in diagnostic mode so that all ECUs are awake and available. The one exception is you do not code engine ECU while running.

Garage List
Has anyone figured out how to code the HUD M View to an M button on the LCI X3Ms in the M1/M2 configuration screen? I know it works for '21 and before but not LCIs

Hello! Does anyone can tell me what should be the best way to change typecode to EU? FA change typeschluss 53DP to 51DP and then write FA FP for complete conversion or not? I heard already so many different opinions about that. Later I need to VO code BDC to change some option light to ECE and so on.

I recently corrupted my X3 using Bimmer codes. The car wouldn’t start. I was told there is a way to recover it with Esys. I downloaded version 3.30 can any one walk me through the process of recovery? I have no experience with Esys 🥲

How did you corrupt it? Bimmercode saves a backup before each change so you may be able to revert to that, but if not you’ll need to VO code the module to reset to factory defaults.

I was trying to disable the auto start and stop. I had the car on diagnostics mode.
After attempting coding like I always do the ECU module was showing red and said data invalid. I was unable to restore it any back ups.

The car wouldn’t start the brake pedal became pretty stiff.

Just took the car to the dealer 😕
