Question Help Needed - 2022 X3 Right Side Air Vent Grille

Hello All - My six year old kid was goofing around and inadvertently broke the top part of the passenger side air vent grille. In trying to fix it I made it worse and i'm afraid would need to be replaced. The car just recently got 10,000 mile service and still under warranty.
However, dealership said its not covered under warranty. So, I bought the part on bmwpartsdirect but I have no idea how to remove the old and replace the new.
Can anyone provide details or guidance on how to do this...or whether I should seek professional help (i.e. have the dealership or some other outfit install it)?

There's this thing called Google. You should check it out. Skip to 3 mins:

I like to use painters tape around wherever I'm working to protect the area around it. Those plastic pry tools can still leave scuffs

This is a better video on how to remove it. You don't need a heat gun.

Isn't the OP talking about the inside dash vent not the outside one behind the wheel?

"the passenger side air vent grille"...you're probably correct.

Yes I am referring to the inside passenger side air vent grille...not the outside fake door vents.

Check this thread and refer to the install part of the vent gauge.

@Bur001: Thanks for the link...unfortunately the instructions were not clear enough for me to perform the same on passenger right side. I have exhausted google search on how to do this...will have to take it to dealer and suck up the exorbitant costs of replacing.

This should not be an exorbitant cost to replace with your dealer. My bet is $150 parts/labor.
