At the end of the day when you are spending $$$ on vehicles there is some expectation that it's performance will be amongst best in class.
Absolutely correct. What is the point of paying a premium price for a M/AMG/RS badge, if you don't care about the performance? Regarding drag races, it's a purely American thing. We have specialized drag strips where you can go with your friends and have fun. Nobody is there to win the "Drag Racing World Cup", but it's really fun to test different mods and settings and see their effect on your times.
We have drag strips here in the UK too. Whilst 0-62mph is one thing, track times are another. With the advent of 4WD on more cars, this can mask performance, which is why I wish times like 30 to 70 were also compared more often, as well as lap times.

I absolutely agree. 0-60 times are highly grip and driver dependent. I’ve looked at 30-60 and 60-100 times in my thread:

Yes, 60-100 is good indicator to performance, I would have said.

I wonder what the C63S time is....? I think quicker than the M4 comp - I have an M3 comp as well as the C63 and the C is faster most of the time.

The C63s 60-100 time is 4.4 sec, so 0.3 sec quicker than the stock X3M comp.
