How big is it? It feels to be a pretty decent size and not as small as the X4 was.

So... if somebody drives a different model it means that is not entitled to have an opinion? We share the same passion and many are waiting for a new vehicle, or just plain and simple very interested in the new ones from all points of view, including price. Why not?

I think that his point is valid anyway. Not sure yet about the differences, but if is true, then I think I would like to know why the price difference too. I guess that we don’t have all the specs and we just speculate at the moment.

Coupe was always more than a sedan, but by one thousand and some change.
I am one of the ones that like the X4 too, yet if they are identical in everything and the difference is that much not sure how to justify that. Plus resale is not as easy as a X3.

It's only that much more because it has a ton more standard options. Price out a m40i x3 and x4 and they are about $3500-$4000 difference. Which is still a lot but about the same gap as Mercedes has.

"Sport Activity Vehicles"

Hopefully BMW will eventually make Front Push-bars and a Trailer Hitch Mount for the X4 and X3.

They are supposed to be "Sport Activity Vehicles" after all, right?

I was not a fan until we got ours at the dealership. It absolutely looks different in person and the lines flow much better. Its also seems quite a bit larger than the outgoing x4 (haven't checked dimensions). I actually thought it was an x6 when it was being pulled off the truck.

Especially when some jack ass Tchgrif starts at me for no apparent reason.

I'm sick and tired of all these freaking options; add this, delete that, I don't want a fucking moonroof!!!

It would be smarter and cheaper for BMW to offer a select set of options and mass produce it, so it's cheaper on their end and better for the consumer. A win-win!

I also take "issue" with the $8,000 up charge for the X4 over the X3 here in the States, and especially because they are made here. There should be NO premium additional charge, at least not that significant of an amount.

I really wanted to like this new X4, but let’s be honest here... it doesn’t look like a coupe, in fact it’s pretty darn ugly (the whole idea of a coupe is that it looks pretty) and having been on the configurator maaaaaaan is it pricey! I’ll wait and get a G20 I think and save a shed load of dosh!! Oh and currently here in the UK this has been introduced with Diesel engines only. Seriously? Who the hell wants a Diesel engine in a brand new car today??

Clearly that is not what I was saying. I stand by what I said 100% and the one person among the few who had done what I was commenting on proves my point.

M40i variant is standard with a "m performance exhaust". That being said who knows if they will release an additional exhaust like they do for other models. It's pretty darn burbly and throaty if you listen to it.

as well as the new X5 front, at least the non-M version looks silly.. in a negative way

I have to admit.. AUDI might produce/design almost the same for all of their models, but.. at least it looks fancy.
even Mercedes is doing better design-wise. what happened?

as well the new-look grills look terrible and the size is way to big.. just fugly

edit: IMO

I still think the X1, X2, X3, and X5 look better than comparable Mercs. The regular GLE is especially bad with that nasty egg shape and cheap interior. Total mom car.

Audis are reasonably handsome but strike no emotion in me. They are too conservative/teutonic and blend right in on the street. Nobody looks at them twice.

No, according to the BMW website, it comes standard with the M Sport Exhaust System, as do all other M35/40i vehicles and then you are able to put the M Performance exhaust after
