How do I code out the obd2 sensor for check engine light? Can it be done with bimmercode or do I need to get it done thru a tuner?

Your tuner failed.
And these things look awful as far as quality. Those welds make me cringe.

Is this your first bmw in the past 15 years?
Downpipes are just as tight on every twin turbo engine.

Those flex sections they added also need to be replaced. They will just fail. Thats why no one uses them anymore.
Except apparently larry and moe in overalls at supersprint 😂

Nice!!! Would love to do something to mine! Unfortunately, I live in California and it may not be worth the hassle if I get stopped. I might just have to look longingly and envy... California is a totally awesome state to live in! Just not great for your car hobby... But I get to golf 365 days a year 😂😂!

Yeah, that is a car enthusiast's state! I just couldn't hang with the humidity! Good golf, fishing and relaxed car laws... Not to mention lower cost of living! Don't think I have never been tempted 😂😂!

Oh man, I'm so glad someone said it. When I first saw the photos of the welds my jaw dropped...they're truly awful. Some of the worst I've seen, especially for a 'front page build'.

I thought these were pre production ones and using a x3m to test?

Sure, but it doesn't really matter whether it's the first set they've made or the 500th - welds should be clean on any job. It's not just a matter of looks...although with welding, appearance and quality (i.e. ability to hold up to pressure and heat, with no leaks) are 100% linked.

I wouldn't trust those welds to hold up, personally.

But if they are pre-production, they could be hand-built or otherwise built not using regular production processes. They could be good enough for testing, not meant to last long.

Am I the only person tired of the fake over-run pops and crackles? Yeah, right? Obviously I am.

I love a nice sounding exhaust. I just like it to sound natural.

Ciao. They're not pre-production. They're handmade off the jigs they produced after measuring their first customer with an X3MC. I got them heavily discounted since I let them measure mine without a factory opf and am quite satisfied with the product for what I paid. Are the welds as pretty as factory? Objectively, no. Can anyone see aside from the pics I posted? Again, no. As far as durability goes, I got to know the owner well, and the guy stands by his work. If there are problems, he will do the right thing. If I had the chance to do it over, I wouldn't change a thing.
