X3MC From F82

Hey Gang, saw an X3M last fall at my local dealer and have been thinking about one and lurking here for a while and finally decided to make it happen. Picking up my 2021 Donnington Grey/Sakhir Orange Friday morning! Called a dealer not too far away about a 2020 which they had just ended up selling, to find out they had the exact spec I was looking for (just about fully loaded - competition, exec package) and made a very fair deal with them. Bought the M4 just about six years ago now as soon as they came out and she’s been a blast but the time has come for something new, looking forward to picking up the X3MC Friday morning...will be sure to post some pics. Don’t think I have any mods planned yet besides tint and ceramic coat until next year but I’m sure that will change. Here’s a couple pics of the M4, one with my winter setup on.

Picker her up this morning and had a great hour and forty-five minute ride home!!! Loving the car so far. One minor issue with the rear seats not being attached I am going to make a separate post about.

I made the same exact move. You will not regret it! And we got the same color!

I too have an issue with the right passenger rear seat it will not recline.

is that what's happening to yours?

Awesome...congrats man!!!

Mine is the rear seat....the bench is not attached to anything and just floating there. A bit upsetting considering the price tag.

That is weird. Mine is not like that at all. I have the black interior.

How does the ride quality compare to the m4 ? Is it about the same?

I had an F82 before and the ride quality is about the same. The rear suspension on X3M seems to be a bit more bouncy.

Thanks!! So does that mean the x3m is more rough for the rear passengers than the f82? Would you recommend the x3m as a family car?

FWIW, mine's used as a family car (kids 12 and 8) and there are no issues.... and I'm coming form an F80....was on coilovers too.

In case your rear passengers end up complaining too much, that MSS Urban kit really solves most of the problems with the firm ride.

I just spent the weekend in SF proper and along some of the worst paved streets in California without any complaints, on 21's too! Also transplanted from f8x platform and my entire family and inlaws all agree it rides even better than my previous M3.

You can also conpare the F97 to a F150.
