Thanks. Installers are impressed. Niece n nephew less impressed that BMW would create such filth. Parents just disappointed.

I also tried the getting started. Thought it might make the screen go away. It didn’t. Maybe I needed to do it pre-coding?

Glad to know it’s broken for others (sorta) err at least I’m not alone.

Does anyone know if the following can be coded in Expert mode for the X3 M40i:

1. Turn OFF high RPM at startup
2. Turn OFF or reduce burbles when letting off the gas while in Sport and Sport Plus Engine mode
3. Turn OFF or reduce loud pops and backfires upon deceleration while in Sport and Sport Plus Engine mode

I know these can be done with ECU tuning, but I don't want to do a tune for fear of voiding my warranty. Thanks in advance!

Nothing that bimmercode can change, you need a tune.

I don't think so. I have a Pixel 2 XL, and I couldn't find anything. I bought an iPhone SE off ebay, and can confirm the above worked really well. Bonus- you can actually use Carplay now.

All Red Everything. I have a question, does anyone if its possible to make the parking brake automatically engage when putting vehicle in park? And also is it possible to make the fog lights automatically turn on with the automatic main lights?

Is it possible to code the default distance the active cruise control is set to.

In the UK, the nearest is about 2 secs which is comfortable. 2 and 3 and 4 positions leave too big a gap and are regularly pushed into by other traffic.

Would like to code the 2nd level to be comfortable and level 1 to be a bit closer.

Risky I know...

You need to activate the hold function for the automatic engaging of the brake. The second can be achieved by coding, yes. Search the thread, I think I saw it here.

I am looking to turn on my blinkers as they are in the US with the sidemarkers. (US side markers option on many different platforms, but not G)

In previous models, this was easy to do in bimmercode but I have been scrolling through hundreds of pages on this forum and on the internet, and although you can read everywhere that it’s possible to code, I do not find the explanation or step by step guidelines.

Therefore my request here,
Is there anyone who can help me? That would be awesome
(I’m using bimmercode on an iphone)

Hi! I have been reading and searching for a long while because I want to try to active road sign recognition to a friend with a 2020 M40i with iDrive 7 (I have it in mine as standard).

He has kafas module, but after searching, I have arrived to the conclusion that even if I am able to code the right settings in expert mode (which I actually have not found yet), I will need a FSC code to make it work, so it would not be worth even trying.

Is that true, or I am missing something?
