X4M vs GLC63s VS F-Pace SVR Drag and Roll Race
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com impressed how the X4M walked away in the roll race, also trapped higher speed than the GLC63S in the standing quarter. 0-60 prob came down more low end grunt and maybe better gearing in the AMG. This video is another confirmation that the 503hp advertised spec is prob more appropriate to rate whp lol

Enjoyed that. I often wonder if the extra cooling that the bmw has helps in these back to back runs.
I saw something similar with the trackhawk where the bmw was consistently fast and the trackhawk was getting heat soaked. Fwiw did a roll race with a GLC63s from about 70-135. I had the jump but he was very slowly reeling me in...no idea if he was modified. Last edited by 2020X3MCDG; 11-14-2020 at 12:13 AM.. |

That was just the Merc driving getting sleepy......the actual times still had the Merc win every drag race. X4 did seem to be getting better and better results as (presumably) the driver learned how to get the best out of the launch. Impressive rolling speed! |

Would have liked to have seen the 60ft time on the X3M. It’s odd they didn’t show it as they did for the jag and Merc.
I can get a 1.75 on a tuned X3m40i, tuned X3M’s which match this are way faster in the top end. The video looked more like a 1.9 though, anyone got stock 60ft times for the X3M? |

BMW does a really good job cooling their engines as you could see the effect of heat soak on the GLC while the X3M was unfazed after repeated runs. The top end of the S58 is incredibly strong and one wonders how the M3/M4 will do with this engine.

Awesome work by the F98. Love that GLC, but too bad they upcharge like crazy for those things. Makes the X4M look like a bargain

Both are rockets! Jag is fast also but just not in the same realm it seems.

Summary of the numbers (interesting the AMG's 1/4 times vary by only a few hundredths from avg across all six runs):

Love my wifes glc 63.
Perfect compliment to my m3. The glc would smoke my m3 off the line. We test drove the x3m before buying the glc. the low end turbo lag on the x3m was ridiculous and the interior quality couldn't be beaten (more important for my wife) so we ended up w the glc. |

but the real question is....
What about the 0-62 time of the G80 RWD and later, of the AWD???????????? Probably the MXdrive versione will stay between 3.5 and 3.6 I guess.

I agree that their four cylinder from A45s is pretty nice but it is also, unsurprisingly, rather limited in terms of tuning potential.

I do find it funny that the Jag is rated the highest by a good margin but actual dynos put all 3 engines in stock form very close to each other. The Jag also doesn't have launch control and the transmission tuning they use isn't as good as the BMW or Merc.

Jag is also supercharged. The supercharger really helps with the low end power but stands no chance against the top end power of the twin turbos.
