Peek at the BMW X3 LCI and X4 LCI facelift grilles. Neither will be massive.

Here's a peek at the BMW X3 LCI facelift and X4 LCI facelift grilles, showing neither will receive a G8X M3/M4-like increase in size.

I like how this needed to be stated in the original post

Disappointing. I was hoping for the big grilles. That would increase the resale value for current owners.

Let us all rejoice! The X3 and X4 have not been ruined (yet)!

In all seriousness though, someone at BMW needs to be fired and/or burned at the stake for their latest designs...

looking forward to seeing larger size or reshape and see how it shows on the smaller body style. I know a lot didn't like the x5/6 when it came out but now its "grown" on them and looks awesome IMO

Oh thank god.

Clearly BMW has a translation issue and thinks guys who "want a car that gets them beaver" meant they "want a car that looks like a beaver".

I just hope the grills don't grow to x5 size cause that will be too big for the size of vehicle.

Case in point the g80.

X5 looks ok.

7 series still looks like butt cheeks. Never grew on me, gag when I see one driving towards me on the road. Big grills do NOT work on their cars.

Agree, X5 isn't very pretty but passable, X7 works in my opinion because the car is huge, the 7er though just looks obnoxious. I'm at the beach and saw a black 750i with all chrome grills pass me and it looks ridiculous.

I don't think the diamond/waterfall style grille works on the kidneys at all. I really hope they don't screw with the X3 design...IMO it still looks incredibly fresh and it might be the best looking car in BMW's lineup, at least relative to its competition. You can tell how important it was for BMW to nail it with that car, and they did.

LOL.....nothing can compare to the over-sized, plastic looking, fish lip look of the grills on the entire Lexus brand....LOL. Now those are "fugley"! Not only ugly but so easily broken from even the slightest parallel parking "nudge" to the front end........now that's a car company that needs to clean house in their design dept.

I really like the look of the 2020 X3's front end.

As someone eagerly awaiting the 2022 LCI; I'm really hoping the final product is a mild refresh over the '20/21

LCI changes are always pretty mild, just a refresh to keep interest/sales up as the model heads toward the end of its life. The new X3 in 3 or 4 years will be have the big changes... like the HUGE grills!
