Hi All,

I am new to this site, just wondering, I am about to do a brake job on my own, anyone knows the torque specs for those?

Thanks!

X30i M40i

Thanks for providing the detailed tourque

I noticed the specs that you've mentioned are for X3 20i model.

I also have a 2019 X3 M40i, is the torque spec would be the same?

I assume X3 M40i be same as 20i since both are same body.

These 2 repair guides are for 2019 X3 M40i and they should have all the torque spec you need.REP-REP-P-3411220-G01_02_Removing front brake disc.pdf

I also noticed that within those guides, several of the bolts are to be renewed during the process, it wouldn’t be the first time that I’ve witnessed people doing brake or suspension work and they continually use the same bolts over and over again, when they are TTY (torque to yield or single use).

Yea, many bolts need to be replaced per BMW repair instruction. Some of those are not torque to yield, e.g. the brake disc screw. But there can be corrosion on them so it doesn't hurt to replace them.

I'm not a fan of reusing nuts and bolts. While some of them are expensive, I wouldn't want to risk anything. The only bolts I would reuse are wheel bolts and screws for trim cover😉

Hey, thanks for posting the workshop manual for this. Where do you get that sort of information from?
