X3 status 182 “released to carrier”
Hi guys, any idea what this means? I only found threads about cars leaving Bremerhaven for the US but mine is to be delivered in the Netherlands, a 3 hour drive from Bremerhaven. The car arrived in Bremerhaven 13th Jan and today we got an e-mail “your car has reached status 182 which means it is now our priority! As soon as it reaches the next stage we can send you the invoice and start registration”
With status 182 “released to carrier” does that mean that it will soon be on a truck on it’s way to my dealer? I highly doubt they’re going to put it back on a ship to make 200 miles? Delivery is planned for week 4, next week. Thanks for your replies! M

Your assumptions are probably correct, but the best thing to do is call the BMW genius hotline. They have more accurate status info and can explain exactly what's going on. On my order the status tracking site changed to "At the port" during the middle of its train trip from SC to CA, and showed "At the dealership" well before it was actually there.

Unfortunately we don’t have BMW genius, status tracking or even online chat here in the Netherlands everything has to go through the dealer, which is annoying because our rookie SA is not attentive at all. CCing the Head of Diplomatic sales when emailing him has sped up reply times to my e-mails though |
