installed luminix Yellow fog light film :)
So at first i thought it would be a little too much....but it looks really nice and subtle. Clean and still classy Its an easy film to apply and can be taken off if you don't like it....Luminix brand. Very happy with it so far

Nice, definitely Euro feel!
Remind me of the good old days when all fog lights were yellow (a color shade of light that supposedly illuminates best in fog?!) With this much pictures you have been taking and posing lately, you need to start crowdfunding and get more storage space in the Cloud! |

Praise be to Google.
"Until 1993 all cars in France were required to have yellow headlights. This tradition started during World War II so that the French civilian cars would stand out form enemy vehicles. The Government enacted a law on the 3rd of November, 1936 stating that all vehicles put into production in 1937 are required to have yellow headlights. The French being who they are, didn't abandon these headlights until 1993 when forced by the European Unions conformity standards. Today, it is illegal to drive in France with yellow headlights unless your car was first registered before 1993." |

Found a couple of interesting articles trying to explain the science behind yellow as preferred color for fog lights.

Great install video!!! My install was horrible...tabs sticking out and all. I'm going to redo it and this time cut off those tabs. So the film goes inside the black, outer bumper-housing that frames the foglight.

Thanks for posting this. Looks easy enough...
I saw forum members talking about this maybe a couple of months ago, but was hesitant all along not knowing if the plastic films would hold up well against car washes or the winter elements. After seeing more examples of folks doing it, I took the plunge and said what the hell its only $15! I'm sure to use the fog lights a lot more often after the installation, and cause other BMW owners complaining more about people mis-using the fog lights in this forum... |

So, looks good. But does this mod enhance visibility? I am particularly interested in getting more definition in white out (blizzard) conditions, or is it predominantly cosmetic.

- To answer the question directly, YES. It totally does, especially in Foggy condition where "white" light would just reflect off the fog. Yellow is absorbed more and there is less strain on our eyes as well. Even in the rain it helps. been raining here for the past 4 days and when driving at night I can see the difference. - Fun Fact: Back in WW1, France. The French gov't made it law that all "french" vehicles be outfitted with yellow headlights - so they would know not to blow a French citizen to bits at night Basically being able to tell friend from foe.
