Hidden Storage

Anyone figure out a good solution for a bag to hold stuff in the hidden compartment under the cargo floor? "Soft" stuff will be fine....towels, roll up mats....but if you put anything solid in there it will rattle around - ie. cans, spray bottles, etc...

No real solution from me besides packaging peanuts and bubble wrap...

I'm surprised that you can hear things rolling in there with the cargo floor cover on top. I have a cargo mat too so it's pretty insulated in mine...

Ever consider using a trunk organizer? Yes it will take up space and not hidden but I find it convenient. I keep reusable grocery bags in them so the they won't roll around even when filled with eggs and what not (i don't have any tie down net).

Wow that's a nice one - just ordered it

THanks man!!!! It even can connect to our tie downs in the trunk and also is collapsible if we're only using half of it....PERFECT!!

In my old car I just used a collapsible crate.
Guess it's time to upgrade for my X3. My wife is going to kill me on all the money I'm spending on upgrading it.

Yeah, so many on Amazon it will make your head spin. I use 2 of the ones linked below, I put them in so the shorter side with the logo faces the back. They are side by side. They collapse and will go in the storage hole under the floor if need be.

Hmm.. that's a great idea going into the storage hole. Though for me it won't work with the spare unless I modify the foam. But possibly the smaller modules will fit in the side storage areas..

They will also fold up and just lie flat either in the cargo area floor or the floor space behind the front seat. I don't think even folded these would fit in the side compartments in the cargo area.a

Kind of leaning toward this one due to the color. Also I like about this one is it looks like it has a kind of soft lid you can wrap around on top (which they call a sturdy lid

). Hook around straps don't look as great as a couple of others.

They all start looking very similar if not the same, but with a different logo. Likely from same manufacturer with slightly different options selected.

Hey Mech, just to clarify are you using this in the hidden compartment with no spare (run flats only on the vehicle)? It is not being used in the rear cargo area in general? Thanks! Our hitch ball has been rolling around in there and that looks perfect to us too.
