I had Autotechnik paddles on my E92 M3. They're not cheap - but they are amazing in feel and will DEF make your want to shift manually more often. They actually give a feel of superior quality and are not cheap, dinky pieces of Aluminum. If I had an M40i on order I would definitely have ordered the paddles.

I'm pretty sure the CF trim isn't gonna work well with my interior's aluminum trim but I'm thinking about it anyway. The gray trim on the wheel is just so boring.

Remove steering wheel/ airbag.

The trim is held down by some torx screws.

Install new piece .

ordered my key case 10 days ago, it's been going through USPS' mess of a system since then. Supposedly my local post office has been in possession of it since Monday but hasn't done much. Perhaps I'll have mine this year...

Does the autotecknic key case/cover stop the accidental opening of the trunk that x3s are known for? I love the case but my primary use for the case is to prevent pocket button pushing.

Santa is bringing me a BMW leather one and an m performance leather one. But I’m afraid they will be too bulky in which case I’m curious about autotecknic...

Yes, it will because the button will be recessed inside the casing.
So stylish yet functional.
