This a tire rack package I built.

Michelin pilot alpin 5 ——235/50/19
Advanti hybris 8,5 , 19", 35 offset
Plenty of msport brake clearance.
No centering rings required. Direct fit. I picked these wheels because they are light.
This wheel accepts the bmw center cap from my apex arc8 wheels. Pretty sure that is 68mm cap.

The winter tires are directional.

I'm currently using the hardware provided by tire rack. The stock bolts (black) will work in theory but the wheel design forces you to use a deep 17mm socket. Since my Deep socket is standard chrome I didn't want to risk damaging the new wheels.

I used my burger 17 mm socket with the plastic body.

I'm considering adding black spacers for a better look. Wheels are a little tucked in. Yes they will work fine for winter.

There is a thread in the g01 subforum describing the same issue. I will report back once I know how long the replacement parts will take .

The guy let me drive an x1.

Car is fixed now.

Here is the paperwork.
The noise was back.

Took it back to the bmw store where I bought The x4 Vs the local dealer i use for service. . Told them about the issue. I got the crazy eye look there at first.

Turns out there was a bmw bulletin out already for the issue.

Instead of zip ties and felt tape they added expanding foam this time.

The paperwork is vague.

The snow set handled today's Chicago storm like a champ. I had no probably parallel parking and getting out of unplowed Chicago streets .
