Maybe one day will see an M4 Sport Wagon. The best of both worlds, you could haul some shit and go fast doing it! Throw in M xDrive and it would be all good!

X3 M40i vs X3M

I would like to know what are the major differences between the M40i and M3.

I think you mean an X3M and an M3. The M40i is more akin to a M340i.

By the looks of this new track testing video, it looks like they will be putting on a wider rear rubber. M Division is going to have to widen the wheel arches.

Whatever wheel sizes the 2018 Mercedes AMG GLC63 S Coupé is running looks about appropriate for the X3M/X4M!

Model: PILOT SPORT 4S
Front Size: 265/40 ZR 21
Rear Size: 295/35 ZR 21

First batch of X4s until August production had regular wheels. X3 and X4 got M--sport wheel finally in August.
Shame.

Wow, OK great! Thank you for the information. That's great to hear, it is as it should be now, assuming that you're correct.

The promos for the X4 M40i, showed the beautiful M steering wheel. As well as car shows in Europe, then at one of the European car shows someone mentioned something about an "M package". But all over YouTube regarding U.S. reviews of the vehicle they all had non-M steering wheels to my disappointment. And one person mentioned that they were not available with the U.S. models of the new X4. Since it has an M designation that was very surprising for BMW to not include it. Well if what you say is correct that was a screwup big time.

I just test drove the 2019 X4 30i The steering wheel is too thin, typical. But the SAC What is just as quick as the outgoing 2018 older model X4 M40i, I had the same Exceller ration and I feel it was strictly due to less weight of the new model. And it definitely sounded better!

One thing I still dislike on the X4's is that there are NO passenger or backseat upper hand rests on the inter-roof. I'm sure it's due to astatic reasons, but they should be there for grip when you're going around the corner or just want to rest your hand as I always do as a passenger, they can do it by recessing into the roof liner as they always do.

Yes. Welcome to how us X3 M40i owners felt about a year ago now. There were some hints if you were paying very close attention, but the M40i and M-sport package X3s in general were all shown with M-sport wheel until the day orders were opened in US and pictures were swapped on website and wording was finally changed to reflect that we were getting screwed over with the skinny sport wheel instead.

Well that's totally unacceptable. If I was one of the ones who ordered these specific vehicle or models and didn't receive it while picking up the vehicle, I would have been really pissed off. False advertising and misrepresenting is NOT cool especially at these expensive prices!

And another frustrating thing is why there's a difference between Europe and the U.S., it should clearly be the same across the board!

Been a year of being pissed off. Multiple emails and phone calls with BMW about it with no care from them. Negotiated purchasing the correct wheel with dealer at time of purchase so have a little help. "only" $2K vs $3K in parts at MSRP.

Not a fan of that wheel at all, much less in an SUV. Just want the correct wheel the car was supposed to come with.
