Saw that and I wonder if BMW is reading the forum. If you look at the screen shot attached, they are clearly testing with a different back wheel - hopefully wider to accommodate a fatter rear tire (at least 305's) tucked under a more exaggerated fender flare/trim...

It looks and based on tire noise certainly was much more composed than the 850 we saw screeching around earlier in the week and also in this video.

The driver in the X3M definitely was sliding it around at the 2:40 mark.

I love my E84 X1 but this new X3 looks impressive. It's bigger but clearly still nimble.

If I've gotta go with a 3600 plus pound vehicle with flappy paddles it's a good place to be.

#m2cslwith6mt would be a great stablemate

It could be DPC, on the E70 and E71, IIRC it necessitated a different bore or bolt pattern for the rear wheels.

Yeah that must be a typo. This thing is no light weight....none of these "sport" SUVs are.

Based on your observation they could also be testing an active rear diff. The x4 m40i has an optional M diff but my guess is that it's mechanical vs electronic. I would suspect an active diff on an ///M variant to be included and tested with various rear wheel configurations.
