The 2020 X4 M has been spied on video for the first time, setting a great pace and sounding great on the Nurburgring.

I just listened to this video with a pair of high quality headphones.

This S58 engine has definite promise it seems. It sounds more like a beefed up B58 engine rather than an S55 engine. There's no raspiness like the S55 note has.

I'm definitely looking forward to the M340i, X3M,X4M, and next gen M3 and M4. Although it still sucks the M340i will not get a manual, but at least the next M3 will have a manual. Also are the X3M and X4M getting AWD?
Did you really mean to ask if a bmw suv is getting awd..? That's what the "X" in X3M means lol or did you mean will it get the same 4x4 system as the new m5?

This is long overdue to finally offer a true BMW M version of the X3 and X4!!!

This thing better look cool and come with a Carbon Fiber Roof and Black Rims!

I need to vent here a moment, I don't understand wanting the draw backs of an suv (height and weight), but not the usability (large trunk). By being taller it's got worse handling, braking and speed. So this leads me to the next issue, the M stands for Motorsport. Is this the track edition suv? If the brand is quick to sell m logo, then they have to then start making up new badges in case they actually make a Motorsport edition again. I haven't seen many of these at my local track on open track days

Bmw is losing it. Test drove the new m2 this week (I had driven it last year, but wanted to refresh myself). Bmw has completely given up on anything track people would want. Such a boring car to drive. The m badge basically means they put more power and badges on the car. No longer the ultimate driving machine.

Please bmw don't give up on your principles.

That goes for all bmws after 2013 unfortunately.. putting m badges on literally everything they make just to sell product

Totally right. It's like how GM owned 60% of the automobile market in the 1980s then just decided to make as many variations of everything as they could, and they put all sorts of "special" badges on, and lost sight of quality and the experience. How's GM doing now?

Can you tell how happy I am that I switched from a 2014 bmw to a 2007?

Maybe BMW ought to do with its M SUVs the same thing Ford has done with the Raptor. Ditch the "track focused" nonsense of these road barges and aim for a real off-road capable machine. Longer travel, clearance, diffs, etc. Maybe take a page out of the Merc 6x6 book. Maybe no one would buy them, but it could be pretty awesome.

Not to go off topic....

But I don't consider the E92 to be a small car at all (I had two of them)

E82 and F87 - sure...but not the E92.

Yes I agree not that small but the smallest BMW with V8 and the GLC 63 is the only medium sized SUV with V8 even though no that small either
