my wheels arrived the week before Christmas, quite happy with how they turned out. For me it's just the right combination of metal and black.these are low pressure cast dark machine verde from the tire rack. 20x 10.5 rear and 20x9.0 front with 245 45r 20 front and 275 40r 20 rear pirelli winter scorpions. they handle very much like my 21" summer tires and are very good in snow. I have a long steep curved driveway and these run up and down it with no problem even in heavy wet snow. the only thing is where the valve stem is, its about half way thru the width of the rim as opposed to the outside edge so you have to reach in thru the spokes to reach it. luckily I have a long wand air nozzle on a retractable reel in my garage and its not an issue. paid just under 2300.00 for everything including new sensors.

I like your new set of wheels much better than the stock 21" For some reasons those 21" stock wheels never grow on me...

Hey guys, so I finally had to get snow tires and the only ones available from tire rack were 235/55/19. Has anyone had any issues running that size of tire?

They should be ok, but 235/50 or 255/50 (what I’m running) would be better.

They are definitely bigger than the stock 21's. Hopefully they wont rub.

They won’t rub, they’re only about 3.5mm more radius than mine, and there’s more than 1cm between my tyre and the spring seat on the front struts.

I was able to find R198 19x8.5 with Blizzak LM001 RFT 245/50/19 and TPMS in stock for $2300 package price.

Anyone comment if this is good price/setup?

I pick the m40i up Friday and having dealer mount the winters for me.

Thanks

Doubtful they're OEM TPMS, I paid roughly that for the same wheels but non RFT Michelins.

looking at a few options for winter

thoughts on this set-up?

now on OE 21" summers (with 15mm spacers x4) and will go up a tire size when they need replacing to 255/285 thus the up size on the winters.

hows the offset look on these?

another option on similar wheels;
Niche Milano
f) 20x9 ET26
R) 20x10 ET40

thanks in advance

Not to thread jack, but have you posted any pics of the 21’s with your spacers? I’ve had a pending order for these same sizes (and some h&r springs) for a week and haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Would like to hear what you think about the ride of the H&R springs after you install.

Awesome, thanks for the detailed shots. Exactly what I wanted to see. I’ll be sure to post pics and impressions after the spring/spacer install.

Good video.
For most people around here, except perhaps ignorant big city gents, this is well known facts. Plus that it is compulsory to have winter tires in winter .. still the first snow can surprise people, and some with 4WD cars get cocky and drive anyway. With usually bad results. This is usually good to have in mind. That you are not alone one the road. Even if driving with class winning studded winter tires, 4WD, and good experience, there's always other people on the roads, finding that ice patch ...
