learned do NOT wash the car with the key in your pocket if you have comfort access.

Spraying the door handles - the water pressure will lock/unlock the doors

Every vehicle I owned with this feature does that. Both my Hellcats, both trucks... Just goes on and on. LOL

I typically put my passenger side mirror to the blind spot to know if a car is there. The mirrors on the X3 are extremely small compared to all the car's I'm use to.

It's the driver's side that I have issues with actually. It's terrible.

I have the same issue you do on the driver's side. I think it might be a generic compact SUV packaging issue as our '13 Cr-V is almost as bad. The mirrors are more square shape and a bit bigger on the Cr-V which does help. Subjectively, when I turn my head and look to the right I'm more comfortable that I can see what's there better and more quickly in the X3 than the Cr-V.

It's not the mirror that bothers me - its the B pilllar. It's massive. and because my head position is a little bit past it, when I turn to look a little it completely blocks my view. That BSD light in the mirror has saved me several times already, blinking rapidly when I was certain no vehicle was present. I might have to buy one of those mini-mirrors to stick on it.....UGH. Maybe they have a Euro version with the imbedded mirror.....

Ah.. I get it. Your tall and your seat is like further back from where I normally position myself.. hence your blocked a bit by the B pillar.

This might be a stupid trick, but I use it sometimes, where I look in the driver mirror and lean forward. As I lean forward it changes the angle of view, and forward enough, you would catch the blind spot area in the mirror.

YUP. I do too but I'd rather not. I hope BMW has a Euro version of this with the outer blind spot lens.....its really annoying for now and kinda dangerous. I'll be fiddling with my mirror tomorrow to get it to "look out" more.

I also discovered some small dots in the center roof lining unit, and a few other small spots. Nice touch.

Before blind spot detection became available, I had those little stick-on convex mirrors on all my cars especially on the driver side. I do miss them since I would rather be able to see the hidden cars and know exactly what the situation is in real-time, then having the warning pop-up after I have already made an attempt to change lane. This is especially important in driving in big cities at either coasts since people don't leave much gaps between cars for you to change lanes.

For the blind spot; don't we get the yellow triangles at certain speeds, always, if a car is there? It's not as clear as on modern Volvo's I overtake here, where I can see their warning in the outside mirror for quite some time.

Among other luxury car manufacturers, Volvo has Google search, but it's not voice enabled. Every other luxury manufacturer uses only HERE for online POI searches, which is woefully slow to update vs Google.
I absolutely LOVE the "online search" voice function. It's probably the easiest, and most accurate method of destination entry that I've used across all manufacturers. I find our Volvo's destination entry to be clunky and confusing. I can do the BMW Online Search without touching the screen or the controller. Great design.

I don't get why the yellow triangles can't be displayed in the HUD at the same time.

When entering an address in the Nav, you can spell it using the iDrive screen (alphabet pops up as you move your hand close, or write each character on the top of the control knob.
