Per upcoming BMW model info thread, the F98 X4 M (like the F97 X3 M) is scheduled for MY2020 (expect early 2019 intro), with market launch either simultaneous with F97, or a very short period of time apart. It will be powered by the new S58 engine making 450-460hp.

Maybe sooner...the F98 X4M showed up locally before the F97 X3M...And the G01 X3 is already revealed. Seems the whole G02 X4 program is on a fast track. This X4M Prototype seems pretty buttoned down...No mis matched wheels or covert attempt to disguise the quad exhaust finishers, or running non drilled rotors....like the first X3M Prototype's did. Has to be less than 2 years if they are this far along in the testing/prototype/pre-production phase.

I would guess in the 400hp range....Unfortunately BMW across their entire line...has dropped out of the horsepower wars...all the "Green" BS. The Porsche Macan Turbo is 400hp and the soon to be AMG GLC63 is purported to get a 4.0L V8-469 hp....BMW will probably land at 425...and call it a day. Thanks. Palbay

I have not been around much lately. I would certainly guess the X4M reveal is still out 8-9 months. The X3M has not yet been revealed and the X4M would trail that reveal. BMW has kept the X4M public testing low key for some reason. Not sure why. If I see/hear anything good I'll let you know. Thanks.
