Oh and the exhaust sounds really nice. In sport, it is super easy to get it to make those nice crackling and popping sounds by lifting off the gas....
and those farts when upshifting (under relatively quick acceleration only) are nice too.

Busy packing now because we are going for a short family trip into NY state to break in the car.

Btw it is hard to see in my pics but if you look at the bottom centre air duct in the front bumper, on either side there is a small pentagonal duct that goes straight to the brakes to help cool them. I don't remember reading that or seeing that in any of the reviews so I thought you guys might be interested in knowing that. I saw it while getting the winter wheels put on when the car was on the lift. But it is hard to see in the pics I took.

Congrats! As I posted in a previous thread we ordered the longbeach blue, and since my wife had other thoughts we changed it to a carbon black now.. I hope it will still be as nice .... One thing it was unfortunate is that we didnt get M performance brakes on our m40, the m235i comes with nice blue Colored M performance brakes anyways have fun!

Although we didnt get M-PE brakes, we got the X5/X6 brakes in the front which are upgraded than the standard X3/X4 ones for more stopping power.

Also the brake pads are higher performance as well.

ggalanis post-ownership review on your week we're anxious to hear!
Any video clips on a cold-start over there, how it sounds when it settles down the rpm, and some exhaust revs in comfort and sport+ ?

=D your ownership has made me now anxious to have mine already

I went for a drive this morning and filmed a few videos.

Cold start: a couple of revs in comfort, then a couple in sport+

Revs after an hour of driving: a couple of revs in comfort and then a couple in sport+

I'll try to put together some thought for a short review a little later today.

Thank you ggalanis for those videos.

Two guys on a german forum did a test drive. They stated that the exhaust was loud, very loud for their taste. Cold start in a garage in sport mode is a head turner or a claim effect. Can you comment on that point? Do your neightbours still like you?
