20d/30d/30sd fuel consumption

Hi all,
Looking to buy my first X3 and I'm trying to decide between the 2litre or 3 litre diesel engine (year 2007 to 2009ish). I know the 30d/sd will be more on tax and insurance but I'm wondering what the real world mpg difference is likely to be between them both?
I'd be doing around 12,000 miles a year.
Anyone's experiences much appreciated

I have an average consumption of 8.0 liter / kilometer on my X3 2.0 diesel

i have the 3.0sd and i can normally get around 750 km on the autobahn going under 140kph.
