Bergstrom FTW! I also had the 2 BMW dealerships in MKE follow up and I maybe rubbed it in their face just a little

Found multiple dealers easily when I purchased in the fall. Got my local dealer to match the Costco deal.

Contacted a bunch of dealers around NoCal and was able to get $2k off msrp, PM me for details if you want the contact as most were asking for MSRP or 500/1000 over

Tax rate is almost 9% here so my trades will save me 6k in taxes. I'd have to get at least 6k off MSRP to make up the difference in the tax savings. I thought 1k off plus the free ext warranty was a good deal considering the current market.

Off topic bit those with 21" wheels please chime in with ride quality thoughts. I've read multiple threads and the results are conflicting but I know ride quality is subjective.

I'll be putting alot of miles on this car as I'm transitioning from an offshore career into sales. I'll be in the car for long periods of time and want to be comfortable in the seat as well as have a comfortable and quiet ride. The dealership I ordered from had no models with the 21" option and neither does any within a 100 mile radius.

The Nautilus Black label was extremely quiet and comfortable on the 21" wheels but wasn't as thrilling to drive and lacks the sporty look of the M40i. I believe the Nautilus 21s have more sidewall as well.

Thoughts?

My 21 has 21" run flats, love the look, but it's a rough ride for sure. My sq5 with air suspension was more comfortable

This was about a month ago but got $500 off MSRP on top of loyalty/finance credit. It was the same dealer/CA I got my X5 from in 2020 so perhaps that helped getting anything off but it's definitely tough out there.

Same with Ford and their X plan. I used it back in April to buy a new 2021 F-150 Powerboost. Dealership told me I was the last person they were allowing to use the X plan discount.

Last week of December is when I ordered our X3. I was able to get the dealer to discount $1900. I also was able to use my USAA $2000 in addition.

Hi I tried to pm you but it said you turned it off. Which dealerships have you 2k off msrp? Was it a factory build or was it on the lot?

So as far as you know... Ford is not honoring x plan pricing?

I just ordered a 2022 X3 40M and paid list price. This was at a suburban Chicago dealership. There was about $1,700 in credits for financing, but that was it.

Where did you get $1700 from? All I got was $1000 from BMW financing. Did the dealer ripped me off for $700?

There was $1,000 from one source and the balance was another program. My paperwork is at the office. I will check tomorrow.

I received $1000 from finance and $750 loyalty credit. Did you own a BMW before this purchase?

Okay, I did not own a BMW before. This will be my first BMW after 27 years of Japanese vehicle.

Thanks for reminding me. That's what my salesman told me earlier today.

That's the same I've been quoted from the dealer in Rochester. I am talking to one more local dealer here in the Twin Cities. I'm planning on placing my order in April or May.

Hope you enjoy the new ride!

I checked Costco for the M40i and the only participating dealer is an hour+ away and currently no discounts.

Edit: location is Minneapolis and St Paul MN.

If the dealer is in the Costco program, they have to honor the discount. Costco takes your info, then the dealer calls you with the discounted pricing. If you call the dealer directly, they will not give you the discount.
