I’ve been looking at the Larte kit but it’s almost $10,000
Wondering if the quality difference is worth the huge cost difference with all the carbon I vacant find on line.

My front carbon fiber lip and rear carbon fiber diffuser are from 3D Design. Both are 100% real carbon fiber and quality is second to none.

My mirror caps, kidney grilles, boomerangs and fenders vents, are real carbon fiber purchased from IND / Autotecknic.

My front license plate is real carbon fiber from BMW (Oem item)

My rear license plate is real carbon fiber purchased from a group buy on another site.

3D Design carbon fiber pattern is slightly different from the other pieces, but you won't know til you're up close and looking at all the details.

All pieces have been trouble free except for one kidney grille. It's starting to blister, which is odd..

All together, I've spent $5,800 in Carbon Fiber exterior mods. This includes shipping as well.

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but here goes.

The right rear door of my wife's '18 Phytonic Blue X3 was caved in - not repairable to my standards. Damage was limited to the door skin only - sill is good, handles, etc. all fine.

Where might I find a replacement door skin, ideally in this color but not essential. Willing to do some repairs and if necessary, repainting.

All suggestions appreciated.

I'll be posting this in another thread in case this is the wrong place.

Thanks in advance.

Try searching local junk yards, you might be lucky to find one. Other wise, ebay might have one from a salvaged X3

Not terrible but could be a pain in the ass. Just a heads up, you might break a few of the tabs on the stock boomerangs. They don't come off as easy. When you install the CF ones, I started from the one end and worked around. You might have a tab or two that won't clip into place. I did my best to get them 100% flush, but I couldn't. Needless to say, I've never had an issue with them.

Thanks mate.
I’ve gone with all Autoteknic where I could and am trying to get a Larte front splitter.
Thanks again for the heads up, I was thinking those tabs might break.

Joined the Vossen club a few days ago. Turned a lot of heads and got a ton of love at the BMW dealership when I picked up my other X3 from service. The specs are as followed

21x9.5 +17
21x10.5 +29
I'm running the the 265/40/21 & 295/35/21 Michelin pilot sport tires. Next week my Autowerke catted downpipe comes in. Overall coming together nicely. Excuse the mix photos of Cell phone and SLR

Huge thank you to @AW305 for the smooth sale and being such an incredible person!

Thank you! These are anthracite. They look incredible in person. I picked these up slightly used from an awesome member here.

Thank you! Can't wait to see what you do!

I'm on the hunt for my next thing to do. Would love to buy an X3M rear tail gate spoiler as it's more aggressive but no luck finding one yet.. Wish they made more stuff for us G01 guys.

I'm not 100% positive but these did come off an X3M and they sit flush on my M40i without spacers.

The last few days has been crazy between the dealership fuck up and the damages from hurricane Ida. A month ago, someone damaged the rear bumper of my M40i. Looks like something was dropped. I had Park Ave Bmw body shop repair the rear bumper and refinish the stock 20 inch wheels as they had clear coat issues. When I arrived to pick up the M40i, I went over the body and wheel work like a nut due to my OCD and paying out of pocket I expected top notch work.

To no surprise the work came out fantastic! I mean everything looked to OEM standard. As I kept walking around the vehicle, I noticed odd stains on my Vossens.. I thought "maybe its just tire shine run off.." nope.. wasn't coming off at all. It looked like something ate the finish. I told the advisor "hey man, these wheels are brand new and didn't have any damages to them.." he took us to the body shop so we can discuss it with them.

The body shop had photos showing the wheels were in fact flawless once they completed the work. The dealership hires an outside company to do their detail work. So the detail shop sprayed some type of wheel cleaner and didn't take it off in time which fucked up all 4 wheels. My wife was flipping out and was yelling at all of them. I, (shockingly) was calm and told the dealership to resolve the issue or order new wheels. I sent them all the specs on the wheels.

The dealership told me that the detailing owner will be responsible for the wheels. Their game plan was to try to detail them and or have them refinished. I wasn't too thrilled on the refinish since they are brand new and didn't think they will be back to factory finish. They've ignored my last few text messages on an update and taking into consideration we got hit hard with this storm, they have their hands full..

I have no idea where my wheels are or at what stage of the process to resolve the issue. Likely I'll push them to order new wheels. I was calm up til they kept ignoring my messages. I have a great relationship with my advisor so I don't want to ruin it but he knows where I stand with the situation. My wife already spoke to her aunt who is a lawyer in NJ, I don't want it to get to that point over wheels.. I'll drive by the dealership on Tuesday and hope I will get an update. Here are the damages..

Amazing ride ~ and styled so clean that other enthusiasts can appreciate. Thank you for sharing. You have a bit of carbon from many distributors; of the carbon add-ons, which would you say has the darkest appearance. Also, any updates on longevity (fading, wear, etc).

The boomerangs look sexy dark! also nice choice on the Vossens. That style wheel suits the x3/x5's nicely (like AlexFLs) Thanks again

Thank you for the kind words. The only two items I have an issue with are the mirror caps and grille. The clear coat has an issue. Strange that it does considering it's been ceramic coated. When not in use, it's washed and kept under an all season car cover.. No idea what the deal is but eventually i'll order new pieces before it goes in for another paint correction and coating.

Thank you! I haven't been active. The X3 has been sitting for two month under a cover. I got my vossens back and they look great. Waiting for after the winter to get them on.

A little update.

I had the OEM and Vossens refinished which came out fantastic. The rear bumper was repaired by BMW. I had taken these photos about 5 months ago. I also got around to install the active autowerke downpipe. The exhaust tone is better and the power gain is felt across the entire power band.

SLR Phoot shoot done on this beautiful Sunday. X3M spoiler installed. What a nice upgrade to give the rear a more aggressive look!
