Arrived very well packed. Carbon finish is flawless. Fit was pretty good. Only had to file down one small area where the edge was a bit thick to be able to push home. Not as many clips or locating tabs as the IEM caps but there’s enough to give a reassuring click sound when fitted. They appear to be on quit firmly.
They are a little thicker than the OEM caps, some of the photos make them look worse than they are. If you didn’t know it really doesn’t show. The edges all sit right with the rest of the mirror. I would give them a 9/10.
It was hard to take photos without a reflection plus it is a miserable overcast day here and it was drizzling at the time.
Those are the Duck Dynasty version of carbon fiber. You know that that’s not what a carbon weave looks like right? I’m sorry but that looks awful.

Of course I know what a carbon weave looks like. I didn’t want a weave finish, I wanted something different.

Each to their own.

It was also "weird" for you to mention "carbon weave", when those aren't carbon fiber weave, IMO.

Just about done with the minor mods I want

-Tinted windows (Ceramic 70% windshield, 20% front, 50% added to rears)
-No-Drill Plate Mount (Sly Brackets)
-Chrome/black grill replaced with Shadowline style since the factory deleted that option

No just building up the courage to do my own emblem replacement for the black "X3" and "M40i"

Car looks good.

Go for it with the badges. It is honestly the easiest thing to do. I was the same as you, nervous but trust me it’s a doddle.

Put some decent quality masking tape or painters tape is better, around your original badges so you know where to put the new ones back. Get a hair dryer on a warm setting and warm the badge gently up for about 1 minute and you’ll be able to gently peel the originals off with your finger nail tips. If your lucky most of the badge sticky tape will come off with the badge. If your not, gently warm the remaining tape again and then rub at it with your finger tip and it will start balling up. Make sure to then clean the area left inside the tape, I used 70% isopropyl alcohol which I got on eBay. Once clean stick your new badge on peel away the masking tape and your done.
You’ll be surprised at how easy it is. It will take you probably 5 minutes to do a badge.
My advice is to go OEM on the badges. The quality of everything from the adhesive tape down to the finish of the black plastic and the BMW tri colour sticker are far superior to cheaper aftermarket.
I tried going cheap on eBay badges and OMHI they aren’t worth the saving. Poor quality sticky tape, tri colour sticker peels away easy and the edges of the black plastic were rough. Don’t skimp on the badges, there’s a cost difference for a reason.

Good luck

I blame myself, as I should have seen the issues with Tuxmat mats removal and reinstallation coming... Perhaps they are meant to be cleaned inside the car, without their removal

I installed the same mats last week, based on having the rear cargo mat that does not cover the rails. Overall I am happy with them.. I actually have not removed the plastic on the logos either!

Agree, the 3D Maxpider mats are really nice. I was surprised how nice they fit.

Looks fabulous! A sunstrip tint on the windshield would tie it all together. I've started the swap to black too... but with the temps in the single digits around here I don't dare test the plastic tabs until it warms up a bit.

Nice! I got my paddle shifters from Goldenwrench. They make some cool stuff and Mario is super helpful.

Any chance you could share a pic with the reverse light activated so we can see how dark it is?
