I've used it before and know how it works. Things are different now. Here's part of the email I received back.

Email is too blurry to read. I never received an email from Costco when I went through them in October. Called them, spoke with a rep who took my info and then the dealer called me directly and sent me pricing. It was Bill Jacobs BMW just outside of Chicago. Actually took the Costco pricing offer to my local dealer and they matched it. Got a total of 5% off Msrp.

I recently traded in my 2020 X3. Was able to get 4% off MSRP from two competing dealerships plus loyalty, plus grad incentive.

I just bought a car here in the UK earlier this month. It was a cancelled order, with an ETA of end of March/early April. I changed the vehicle to the spec I wanted, took it to £66,400 I think. I paid £61,900 so that's around a 7% discount too isnt it? Order was then locked in a couple of days later.

Some of you guys got killer discounts. I went through a broker and got 5% off. That’s the best I could get on the east coast. Dealers were at or over msrp and wouldn’t budge.

When I ordered my 2022 xD30i in November 2021, I got 6% off of MSRP. But I would imagine discounts are harder to come by on the M40i, since dealers have much smaller allocations of those.

Hey sorry new member here, PM is not unlocked yet. Custom order but it was a fully loaded build. Reach out to Jon@Santa Maria - he'll hook you up with a great rate.

If you order with a South Carolina delivery pick up you can order from anywhere in the United States correct?

That should be a yes. I ordered mine from a NY Dealer since they had an allocation even though I live in SC. They even gave me the same discount I was getting from my local dealer but local dealer did not have any available allocations.

Paperwork is being done by a company called Mavrick. They will come to my home for everything to be signed and then I have a Performance Center Delivery set for Feb. 17 to do the test track and then receive my new M40i.

Dealer fees?

Take notice of dealer fees above the MSRP. There's the usual stuff but one item that I can't find anything about online is "Dealer Council Contributions." Anyone heard of this? Legit?

I have not but I’m no expert. Try posting on r/askcarsales (Reddit). There are a few BMW folks that chime in.

I got my car back in December but my brother is now ordering pretty much the same specs M40i as mine. Getting 6.5% off MSRP through a broker to place a custom order.

I only was able to get a $1000 BMW Financial Services Credit & $750 BMW Current Owner/Loyalty Credit when purchasing. I live in Illinois, and I tried calling 4 different dealerships and no one was budging.

Their fee of $499. But I take it back seems like he’s getting more like a 3% off msrp plus apr credit and corporate putting it closer to 6%

How does one go about finding one of these brokers who is worth working with? I've heard of the car buying services before (Chase, etc) but not a so called broker. Does it just come down to google it and hope for the best?
