Door Projector Lighting

Anyone install the BMW Door projection lighting on a 2022 M40i? I got the lights from BMW discount parts and tried to install today and they are too wide and won't fit inside the housing. Trying to see if anyone else had the same issue.

I have they do fit but you have to cut a couple of tabs off with a sharp knife. It’s in the instructions.

Hmm my instructions don’t show anything I need to cut. Here’s the video I was following as well.

Do you have your instructions by chance?

Yes. I can attach a picture tomorrow for you.
From memory, if you feel inside the hole in the bottom of the door card where the lights go there are two tabs that need cutting back flush.

Here you go. Instructions show cutting away two tabs and cutting out the corners slightly.

Thanks! This is very helpful. I ran into the same problem today while installing the door projector light. Will try again.
