Agree on the OEM moving and sliding around. I like to be OEM, but not happy with it.

Trying to figure out a fix, maybe some Velcro tape or something.

I just bought my first item from Adam Polishes. Excited on this.

More importantly....I found that they are only 10 miles from me and have an open house this Saturday! I am bringing a LOT of cash, and no wife.

Foam cannon...here I come!

Ha!

There’s a big patch of Velcro underneath the mat. You just need to buy the corresponding piece, if it wasn’t included with the mat. Mine hasn’t moved a mm since I fitted it.

Jealous. They have good products even if you keep it simple.
My fav items are, soap, detail spray, H20 spray, and interior detailer. Makes the car cleaning so much easier and fun with quality products.

Thanks! Can you share pics on where you put the Velcro, how big the piece(s) of Velcro needed, and what type of Velcro surface did you use (loop side or hook side? Or both?)

I've tried the Velcro route once without success... might have been wrong size Velcro or placement or something...

I just bought some strong adhesive Velcro and stuck a large patch to the carpet, and the mat doesn’t move.

For anyone with the previous gen X3. The all weather BMW cargo mat fits the G01 very well. Does not move much at all either. I was able to repurpose mine after I turned in my leased 2016. The front and rear all weather floor mats fit ok too. Not exact but good enough. The front passenger mat could use a slight trim with a scissor to fit but the rest fit well enough you would never notice they weren’t made for the G01. Pics upon request.

Here you go. You will see in the 3rd pic which is of the passenger front mat, the mat overlaps the kick panel a good bit. That is the area that I may trim at some point. In the last 3 pics of the cargo mat, what I did not capture is on the right side, there is an inlet where the side compartment is. The F25 mat has a flap that sits in that area that basically keeps the mat from moving around. Luckily, the inlet area is in the same place on the G01. Additionally, the bottom of the cargo mat is rubber, not hard plastic... For these reasons I feel the cargo mat for the F25 is preferable (to use in the G01) to the cargo mat made for the G01

I finally got some strong Velcro from Amazon. I only used the 'hook' pieces and sticked a couple of these 4" X 1" velcro stripes beneath the OEM cargo mat (one parallel to the length of mat at the far side (12 o'clock position) another one at 90 degree to the near side). I let the hooks of these Velcro stripes anchor to the carpet surface underneath and the cargo mat is now secured. I have not driven the car with heavy load on the mat yet to torture test this method but I can easily add a few more Velcro strips if needed.

Would someone mind posting pictures of their Weathetech liner (no spare) with the bottom storage open?

I'm curious if the liner will get in the way because of the piece that sticks out on the right side. Also, I wonder if the piston can support the extra weight of the liner on its own.

I'm supposed to be receiving mine on Wednesday. What do you mean by pistons? My '19 M40 doesn't have any for the bottom storage cover

If you could post pics it'd be appreciated. My '18 has gas struts that basically auto opens the storage cover.

There is no piston holding it open..

I purchased the all weather mats from BMW and it's a pretty good fit and form.. and if I ever forget what car I'm driving.. I just have to look down.

I've got a very similar mat - http://www.travall.co.uk/bmw/x3-2017...-liner-tbm1189

I cut the bits out with a craft knife to allow the tie down rails to be used, and also used 'stick on' Velcro to keep the mat from moving. The mat is a good and inexpensive option.

So you got this stuff right? Looks like the Titanium color velcro is on sale vs the black one..

yep that's the one I used. Can't beat the price, get the cheaper grey one and color doesn't matter since it's on the flop side of the mat and you will never get to see it while in use!

I only have to used a couple of adhesive-backed 'hook' pieces. I don't even need the corresponding 'loop' side of the velcro since the hooks create enough of a drag with the carpeted surface already. If you typically carry a heavy load in the truck, just add more velcro pieces. Have fun!
