How to disable alarm sensor with dog in car
I parked my car with my dog in the back and locked the doors ... went inside to the store I was at and came out with the alarm going off.
Is there some way to disable the interior sensors or whatever sets it off? On my old 2000 Audi S4 there was a button down on the b-pillar you could push to disable the alarm. I don't like to leave the car unlocked when I take my dog with me... |

Try locking the car then press the lock button again, this should disable the alarm but leave the car locked

And I believe the above only disables the interior motion sensors, so the rest of the alarm system remains active.

Correct. Press "lock" twice when locking the vehicle and the motion sensor is disabled but the rest of the system is armed.

disable the motion detector
I know pressing the lock button twice disabled it in my 528i, but my X3 does not have the comfort access. I tried pressing the lock button a second time, but the red flashing security light does not illuminate solid as described in my manual. I waited a short distance away and the alarm went off as soon as our dog started moving.
Any thoughts? |

They would be better to ban the owners from breeding if they're that dumb. Far better long term solution. |
