So im still waiting for the mid brace to arrive, its back ordered but I installed the front bar and had to grind the edges to fit into the factory holes a tad to clear. big improvement to the steering and doesn't feel floatly that much anymore. Also didn't have to trim any of the plastics but it sits a tad lower in the middle section but its fits fine.

I forgot to take a pic of it, but its the small outer lip that sits inside. It wouldn't pass though the opening, the lip was larger than the hole.

They quoted me $70 to Maryland for just the mid.

Welp... based on the feedback/reviews by people that got the midbrace installed or the X3M midbrace installed...

Seems like one or the other is a "must have".

Just out of curiosity... anyone have experience with the Aleks Racing and the X3M midbrace that can do a comparison? Looks like the X3M brace has more bolt in points... which should stiffen things up more? Is the Aleks Racing say.... 95% the performance of the X3M one?

Mostly cost will be the deciding factor, since finding X M brace with all the parts new will be north of 600-700 unless you can find all the parts used. I found mine at a local bmw garage and bought the M sways bars for 150 and gave me just the brace for free.

I just bought all the listed parts for the X3m brace and paid € 349. New from the factory.

Would be cool, if the 4? threads could be put together, or not?

I just picked a random website....I don't have the right part # for the right side hood seal so I added 2x for the left side part to correct for the total value. plus shipping since its a large brace and when you look for the part of the brace itself some website only shows for the smaller stock brace and not the M one. Maybe others have found it cheaper new, but this is about the avg price.

Thanks. Our car prices are much more expensive than yours, but the spare parts seem to be cheaper, as you can see. Shipping is free for me. Only thing I did not order is the side hood seal. Why do I need that?

Lucky! That's kind of why I'm leaning towards the Aleks Racing one. Just grab it online. Versus spending for the much more expensive X3M one.
