LED Tail lamp issue

Hi,

I am having an issue with my rear left tail lamp, the one on the trunk.

It's actually no longer illuminated but when i remove the lamp and connect the 12 volt directly, it work.

Then i re-installed everything and work for a day or two and then shut off again.

All wiring seems good

Did someone already had that issue ?

Where did you source them for less than $10?

There's also an alternative LED driver, though it's not exactly plug and play but it's only $6.

It's a really easy fix to re-solder the cold solder joint on the Chip resistor on top of LED Driver board. No cost and same issue on all 4. I did all 4 of mine in 30mins.

Great job... Could you actually see the failed soldered joint? It looks like there are several resistor chips, which one did you re-solder?

Only $15 for plug and play OEM style ones on Amazon. I replaced two of mine last month with no issues. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ZNFRZHB

You can barely see the solder fail under high magnification.

Here is a write-up that shows what chip resistor to solder. It's always the same one that has the issue:

Thanks for the link to the write up. Mine haven't failed yet, but I wanted to know what to solder if I get a failure.
