Electric p steering
Does finally the x3 comes with an electric or hydraulic p. Steering ? i may go to buy the X1 - because of his hydr. P steering...

I agree, but I also had the pump replaced on my 2007. I do however hope the new version loses that frumpy ride, and I'm excited to test it regardless.

I'm sure that the steering on the new X3 is electric assisted, not hydraulic. I also expect the new 3 series will be the same as the X3.
According to posts on the new 5 series forum, some like it and some don't.

Thank you Claud. That is what I have pieced together as well. It is interesting.... and disheartening to note that most of the car mags are beating up on the 5 series steering bigtime...... and that the x3 is probably a duplicate setup. How can we know if BMW has addressed this in the x3? Also, the optional sports steering evaluations seemed so ambivalent. Any data/thoughts on this?
