Speed Camera
Finally got a one month chance to try out the app from BMW. It works but not always. I can tell because Waze alert comes on. Is it worth keeping and in particular how do Canadian drivers in GTA feel about it.

You're already aware a free app like Waze gives you the same information. Would you really start paying for camera alerts once the trial runs out?

It only really works for fixed cameras and does show mobile cameras that are moved around. I had for a short time but let it expire, as EWL5 points out, just use Waze.

The BMW nav system shows in the HUD and provides a HUD visual and audio alert when approaching a camera. I use CarPlay WAZE in the background, but the WAVE camera audio alert is generally only if you're over the speed limit close to passing a camera. I prefer the BMW nav system because it works well in the HUD, and WAZE for the range of crowd-sourced alerts that can be set to just audio. |
