Can you tell me a little more about this? My dad was in the Air Force and I'm wondering if it's something I can take advantage of

If you finance outside of BMW, you can get that $2000 military discount but if you lease or finance through BMW it’s $500 I believe.

Find the BMW military incentive website and sign up with ID.Me, you'll need some of your Dad's information like Social Security and Enlistment number. Once you're verified you can give the dealership your voucher number and they'll take care of the rest. You can also use this with other retailers such as DiscountTire which is pretty cool.

As others point out, it's $500 if going through BMWFS and $2K for anyone else. I did arrange financing through my dealer on BOA so I took advantage of the full amount.

That's good info. i didn't know the military discount would change based on the lender. Might give me some room for more negotiation since it would be worth it to save on the percentage rate and the full discount.

Do you qualify if your son is on active duty? Do you have to finance to qualify? What if, between your trade in and cash down you did not need financing?

The website says Military Members & their Families, so I think you'd be good.
And since the discount comes from corporate, the dealership won't care if you need financing or not.

I was able to qualify using my fathers information. I believe you should have no issue as long as it's an immediate family member

Does anyone know what the credit score tiers are for BMW FS?

My build is coming up tomorrow and will be delivered soon and I'm still undecided between leasing and financing. Considering financing with a different bank just to get the $2k military credit vs $500 for BMW FS

We're definitely financing, just not sure if it'll be through BMW or Logix. The credit amount will certainly play a factor in the decision.

Has anyone recently ordered a BMW X3 in NJ or NY Metro area? What kind of deal were you able to secure? So far most dealers are sticking to MSRP. To date the best deal I got on a $61,000 vehicle is a $1500 discount (not including rebates). If you were able to secure a more generous rebate, can you please PM me the dealer and the sales reps info?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Par for the course in the NYC area. I went to my guy at bayside BMW back in September. MSRP on custom orders less incentives. Was 1500 for me at the time. 5k over on anything in stock. I got a small discount because he ordered the car with the wrong trim. Have a friend who works at Brooklyn bmw. They are still marking up from what I hear.
You can always shop around anywhere in the country. Do a PCD delivery or have it shipped to you

I just spoke to a dealer who said that the loyalty rebate varies by model. For a purchase/finance deal apparently the loyalty rebate is $1500 on the X3 xDrive30i and $750 on the X3 M40i. Is this what you guys are seeing? Is there someplace where this is published? Someplace where we can see all available rebates and offers?

Thank you very much for posting this. According to the description I ma not 100% clear on what the rebate is for the X3 M40i. It states "$750 loyalty credit on X3 M40i", but then right after that it states "Up to $1,000 Purchase Credit may be available as a credit against the MSRP of the vehicle purchased". Can you guys make sense of this?

Everyone gets a $1k off on the 30i. If you are a current or former BMW owner, you get an additional $750 off. X3 M40i only gets loyalty rebate of $750.

BMW not giving addtl $1k for the X3 M40i as it has no problems selling them.

Do we expect a refresh with iDrive 8 for MY24 or MY25? I am debating whether I keep pushing for an order this summer or I go for the X5 or M340. I really don't want to lease the "old" X3 because I feel like the tech largely undersells for the price -- no Digital Key, etc.

I expect iDrive 9 w/the redesign for MY25 (prob comes out late '24). iDrive 8 has only been used on current models with the older LINUX head unit and those are being phased out in favor of Android ones (iDrive 9). I think current X5s have already transitioned to fewer buttons (iDrive 8->iDrive 8.5). If you like buttons, the only game in town is the X3 until late next year when nearly all BMWs have transitioned.

Not sure what you mean by "no digital key" as I have Digital Key on my '23 30i that I picked up in Oct '22.

I don’t mind it but have yet to use it. I’m less of a fan of the wheel options. I live in Cleveland, OH and we have winter. The 19” rims are hideous.

For 30i:
1,000 lease credit
1,500 loyalty
500 military

correct?
